Find your face shape
Two seconds in front of the camera gets you a face shape, a set of real millimetre measurements including your PD, and a list of frames that suit you, with the ones that won’t clearly marked as such.
Measure your face
Face the camera straight on in even light. It takes a couple of seconds and the camera switches off the moment it’s done.

What this measures
Your iris is very close to 11.7mm across in every adult face, whoever you are. That makes it a ruler sitting in the middle of the picture, and once there is a ruler in the picture every other distance can be worked out in real millimetres rather than pixels.
From that we get your face length and width, your jaw and brow, and (most usefully) your pupillary distance, which is the one number every online optician asks for and no one knows off the top of their head.
The face shape itself is a judgement, not a measurement. We score your proportions against all seven classic shapes and tell you how confident we are, because plenty of faces sit honestly between two of them.
None of this is a substitute for a sight test or a dispensing optician, and the PD reading should be double-checked before you spend real money on a strong prescription.
While you’re here
A physical PD ruler is a sensible second opinion before ordering a strong prescription.
